Christian Youth Camps (CYC) Pialba, affectionately known as "Campialba", is a campsite located at the beautiful coastal city of Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. The campsite exists to promote and extend the principles and practice of Christianity. It has a long history of providing campsite facilities at affordable budget prices.

 

But don't think the word "budget" means poorly maintained or under equipped. Onsite caretakers maintain the campsite and provide the meals. Major decisions concerning the campsite itself are done by the CYC Pialba Executive Committee made up of members from sponsoring churches throughout the Wide Bay region.

 

One of the significant outreaches for Campialba over the years has been youth camps. For more than half a century now, young people from throughout Queensland (and indeed, Australia) have flocked to the site to learn about God's plan of Salvation for their lives, and be encouraged in their Christian walk. Plenty of fun and fellowship is always guaranteed. Churches throughout the Wide Bay region have traditionally used Campialba as a place for their annual camps or to host special youth camps.

 

It's location on Hunter Street puts it within walking distance of the beach and major shopping centres. Campialba is also popular with schools, touring theatre companies, music groups, craft clubs and bus tours.
